Reading material

I generally have two books on the go, one which I have to read when I'm at home and one that I have in my locker to read during my meal breaks on my days of working. At work I am currently reading CJ Sansom's book called Lamentation which I am really enjoying.  I have read all his previous books involving the character Matthew Shardlake and thought they were all excellent.  I really enjoy something which also has part of our history involved in it too.
The book I'm reading at home is by Sue Grafton, above picture.  I'm gradually working my way through the alphabet and as you can see I'm currently at K.  I'm probably about two thirds of the way through this one but I only read a chapter every now and then before bedtime.  Tomorrow though I might just finish it as I am catching a train up to Newton Abbot to meet a friend so I will take it with me.  I hate wasting time just sitting looking out the window even if the countryside is beautiful but it;s a railway line I have travelled up and down on more times than I care to remember.

What are you currently reading at the moment?  I'm always looking out for recommendations.

Just about finished my current read, Celia Imrie's first adventure as an author of fiction, its called Not Quite Nice. About a lady who approaching 60 decides to up sticks and move to France, almost in Nice and meets up with a lively bunch of ex-pats who live there. It's about their antics and was an easy fun read.

I have not read any of Sue Grafton's books, will have to look her up.
I am reading Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs at the moment,my first time with this author. As I go further into the book, half way now,I wonder if I am going to be massively disappointed by the outcome of the story.I'll keep going and see.At the moment I would describe it as a pinch of Barbara Erskine,JK Rowling and The X Men!
I like to 'take chances' sometimes choosing my reading, which most times work but just occasionally doesn't.The jury is still out on this one.

Nice to hear what you are reading linda, I'm about to start one by Irina Shapiro a new author I found and like the way she writes. I read Precious Bones first then Hands of Time and enjoyed them both. I'm also working my way through Sue Graftons alphabet series but having a break at the moment.

Reading always takes a back seat with me in winter, I read more when I can sit outside on the terrace. This series by Sue Grafton is a nice one, I read a couple of these books.
