Happy Planning on a smaller scale

I love the Happy Planners from Mambi and was so happy to see that they are now doing Mini Happy Planners too.  I've misplaced the small diary I got free with Cross Stitcher magazine so when I saw the mini planner being sold by The Homemakery I knew I just HAD to have one.  Your orders from The Homemakery always come neatly wrapped in tissue and also include a small envelope with a little freebie inside - this time some beautiful ribbon.

I'm looking forward to playing with this new addition to my planner family.

Just add beads

Last week we were on holiday in North Devon where we were lucky enough to enjoy lots of sunshine and visit new places.  I'd taken along the Cross Stitcher SAL to work on during the week but forgot to take a couple of threads with me.  Luckily while we in Ilfracombe on the Monday we happened to come across a stitching shop by complete luck.  The lady in Smugglers Needlecraft Centre was able to come to my rescue with the three threads I required and I also picked up a half metre of fabric similar to the fabric I used for the stag.  All I have left to do now is add some purple beads to the Christmas tree.

According to the chart there should be an additional red and white border but I decided to omit that as I hope to finish this as a fabric wall hanging rather than getting it framed.  I believe there should be some Christmas fabric in my stash.

Cross Stitcher SAL update

I've worked a little on the Cross Stitcher SAL and managed to complete another one of the motifs and start another one.

Apologies for the poor photo but it was taken late yesterday evening.

I did a workshop at Scrapbook Magic this week and finally got round to using my Cinch which has been sitting idle in the overflow craft room for about two years having never come out of the box.  Now that I have finally used it and realised just how simple it is to use it should get far more love and attention lol.

Good luck

One of the boys from the cafe DH and I like to go to on a regular basis is leavingšŸ˜¢ He's going back home to work for a while but hopes to return to our part of the country some time in the future.  They are putting on a leaving party for him this evening and I have made this card to wish him luck.

The scrabble tile stamps came from Paperchase and the background stamps are from the SU stamp set called Timeless Textures apart from the little heart which is from Endless Thanks.  It's almost a one layer card with the exception of the sentiment.  Tiny alphabet used was a 99p bargain from The Range many years ago.

Something to share

The weeks are just flying by and it would seem so did my crafting Mojo.  I did manage to sit down yesterday and make a birthday card for a friend of ours.

The papers came free with a magazine many moons ago and the stamp set is a retired SU set.  A simple image which only required minimal colouring with my Copics.  It felt good to put something together again.

After finishing the stag my stitching fingers have also been quite idle, but I have gone through my many WIP's and decided to finish the Cross Stitcher SAL.   This is where I left it in the autumn.

Amazingly enough I was able to find all the issues required in my pile of magazines so I am all set to get going again with this one.  My aim is to get it finished ready to go up for THIS Christmas.
