Yesterday I went down to Scrapbook Magic with my friend Moya for the scrapbooking workshop. This year Margaret has decided to go with mixed media layouts and we both loved our time there. It was great to catch up with the ladies again and as usual lots of laughter was had.
I put the final touches to my January layout this morning before going into work. I took this photo on one of our morning walks, it had been frosty overnight but as the sun was warming up it created a lovely mist.
Still love gathering quotes and this is what I hope to do on all my Scrapbook Magic layouts this year. The snowflake die is a Tattered Lace die and I've cut them from Kraft cardstock, some of them I added Irridescent embossing powder to for a little sparkle. The icicle trim at the bottom of the photo are Tim Holtz Frozen Alpha Parts and I have used white and irridesecent embossing powders on them as they are clear to begin with. Was a little worried with them being plastic but they withstood the embossing process.
I hope to add the finishing touches to the February page tomorrow.
