When is a pineapple not a pineapple?

I bought a papercrafting magazine at the end of last week which had this set of fun stamps, dies and embossing folder free.

It's  strange how the mind works but not only did I see pineapples but I  also saw pine cones. Yesterday evening I spent some time playing around with the set and came up with two completely different cards.

For this card I used the pineapple as a pine cone.  I stamped out the image three times and painted them using SU ink pads.  The foliage stamp is from an SU set called Ornamental Pine, along with the sentiment.  I stamped the backgound in Early Espresso first and then Versamark and gold embossing powder. The pine cones have also got some glitter on for a little Christmas sparkle.  I cut the pine cones out by hand for this one
.

For my second card I created my own background using the smaller pineapple.  I then stamped one of the larger pineapples and the leaves and then used the dies that came with the set.  I also, played around with the inks to create a little splatter background for the pineapples to be placed on.  I've had great fun with this set.

Two for the price of one ... very clever you are and so talented with your card making.

Fabulous cards Linda and so clever to use them as pine cones- they have worked so well. I Like the look of these stamps
